We are the Christian Home Educators of Carroll, Columbiana, and Stark counties (Ohio). We have/have had members from Tuscarawas, Jefferson, Mahoning, Trumball, etc. CHECCS is a group of 40 conservative Christian families who home educate our children as we feel led by God to do so. We offer co-op classes, field trips, special events, moms nights out, summer get togethers, and more. Recent changes to Ohio law have allowed more educational choices for parents, including private school, public schools, homeschooling, charter schools, and now "cyber charter schools" - officially "community schools" in Ohio.

Homeschool Eclectic Lifelong Learners Organization (HELLO)
We are based in Youngstown and offer monthly meetings, a parent newsletter and a children's newsletter, a lending library, help for new homeschoolers, speakers field trips, and extra curricular classes.

LIGHT
Christian Home School support group. We emphasize fellowship and family outings. We have a lot of field trips and activities, such as a Gym Day. Bi-monthly meetings begin with a fellowship dinner. Monthly newsletter. Youngstown area. Will be meeting as a co-op in Greenford starting on 3/2002.

A regional network of homeschooling families. We are an inclusive group supporting families of all religious beliefs. Although OHEN supports a student-led, interest-centered approach, we welcome all homeschooling families regardless of educational philosophy or teaching style. OHEN's purpose is to provide interested parents with accurate information about home education in Ohio.

Ohio Penn Home Educators Network (OPHEN)
OPHEN covers the northeast Ohio - western Pa area. We meet on the second and third Fridays of each month from 2-4pm at the Girard Free Library. We are offering weekly classes on an 8-week schedule. We also provide Book-It information and field trips. We have a Keepers of the Faith group, meeting on the 2nd Thursday of the month. We are a Christian organization whos purpose is to support one another in God's fellowship as we homeschool our children according to His calling. Anyone is welcome to join, however.
